Who are we?

The New Mexico Council for the Social Studies (NMCSS) is an organization of teachers, by teachers, and for teachers (and their students)  that provides leadership in the state for improving  social studies education at the state and federal level. The organization also works to provide meaningful lessons and activities to social studies educators across the state, aides in providing Professional Development activities, and helps social studies teachers at all levels become more proficient in their craft, both in content and practice.

Call out to all at NMCSS – Took 45 kids from Menaul today, 3/25 – Best 2 hours ever, students were enthralled. We were on a Learning Expedition called Movement: Community and Family – This was a perfect way to end this unit. Please go to the open house, and see for yourself.
